BIKE RIDING

Jupiter, Florida is well known for its beautiful beaches and waterways. But when you're taking a break from the water, check out some of the great places to go bike riding. With a variety of trails that cater to different skill levels and preferences, cycling in Jupiter is an experience that's not to be missed.

Jonathan Dickinson State Park is a popular destination for mountain bikers in the Jupiter area. The park's technical terrain park is maintained by a local group of enthusiasts who refer to themselves as Club Scrub, with everything from flat, sandy sections to steep hills and technical rock gardens. But Jonathan Dickinson also offers flat scenic trails for the more relaxed riders, hiking trails as well as equestrian trails. With over 10 miles of trails that wind through the park's diverse terrain, riders can experience South Florida's beauty first-hand. However, the scenery is mostly pine trees and palmetto scrub so it doesn't offer much shade and if you're riding during the hot summer months, be sure to bring some water and lighter clothing.

Another popular destination for cycling in Jupiter is Riverbend Park. The park offers over 10 miles of trails that wind along the Loxahatchee River, offering beautiful views and a chance to see some of the area's native wildlife; it's common to see deer, turkey, racoons, snakes, alligators and other wildlife. The park's trails are open to riders of all skill levels, with easy, intermediate, and advanced routes available. Riverbend park mostly consists of dense oak and cypress trees which offer great shade and protection from the sun during the summer months.

Cycling along Jupiter's beach is another great option. The beach road runs parallel to the beach and offers many views of the ocean and pit stops to go to the beach, grab a drink of water, rinse off or grab a snack! We recommend beginning at the Juno Beach Pier parking lot and cycling North all the way to the Jupiter inlet. approximately 4 hours one-way. At the Jupiter inlet, take time to visit the DuBois park and other park amenities before returning.Â
